  Ching Shao  
Ms. Shao is the Chief Executive Officer and founding member of the SMC China Fund. She has over 20 years experience in the financial markets, significantly experienced in the Asian markets including structuring and trading China-based equity derivatives and index products. Before founding SMC China Fund, Ms. Shao worked with Commerzbank and ING Barings in London, Tokyo, New York and Hong Kong.
Ms. Shao received her bachelor's degree in Economics from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. She was born and raised in Beijing and has extensive local knowledge and network in the Mainland China.
 
   
  Tony Yam  
Mr. Yam is the Chief Investment Officer and founding member of the SMC China Fund. He has over 12 years research and portfolio management experience in the China Market. Mr. Yam was previously the Chief Strategist and Heard of Research of Shanghai Orient-Sun International Investment Management Co. He also worked with Sun Hung Kai Securities and Schroder Investment Management in Hong Kong.
Mr. Yam received his bachelor's degree in Finance from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and MBA from the University of Finance and Economics in Shanghai. Mr. Yam is also a CFA charter-holder. He was born in the Mainland China and is a native Chinese speaker.
 
   
New Century International Leasing Co., Ltd.  
   
  Kevin Ma  
Mr. Ma is the founder and CEO of New Century International Leasing Co., Ltd. (“NCIL”). He is a pioneer in the Chinese leasing market with more than 18 years of experience in devising over US$3 billion of leasing structured products. He serves as the Vice Chairman of China Leasing Association from 1995 to 2006. In 1994, Mr. Ma founded NCIL in the form of a Sino-foreign JV and acted as its CEO ever since. In 1996, Mr. Ma also co-founded Newcourt Leasing (China) Corporation with CIT Group and CTCC (a subsidiary of the Ministry of Information Industry). In 2005, Mr. Ma co-founded Universal Display Technology with China Developing Bank, China Jilin Government and Cyrte Investments, which is the first online P-OLED manufacture solution provider in the world. From 1992 to 1994, he was the Vice President of China Economic and Trade Consulting Co. Ltd., a US-based subsidiary under MOFTEC. From 1984 to 1992, he held various positions at MOFTEC.
Mr. Ma received his bachelor's degree in Computing from Hunan University. He was born and raised in the Mainland China.
 
   
  Vincent Chan  
Mr. Chan is President and COO of NCIL. He joined NCIL in July 2007 and is responsible for the operational growth of NCIL. Prior to NCIL, Mr. Chan served as CEO of Zymmetry Corporation, Asia’s largest technology provider in the apparel industry. Prior to Zymmetry, Mr. Chan served as a Lead Consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton where he specialized in the Financial Services sector and consulted to many of the world’s largest commercial and investment banks.
Mr. Chan received his bachelor's degree in Finance from Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and MBA from Harvard Business School.

  Ken Sakurai  
Mr. Sakurai is the founder, Chairman and Representative Director of K.K. Jermyn Capital and the CEO of Jermyn Capital (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. From July 2003 to March 2005, he was Representative in Japan of Moore Strategic Value Partners Japan LLC. Prior to establishing K.K. Jermyn Capital in 1999, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Securities Tokyo Branch, responsible for direct investments, asset finance and capital markets, and a member of the Japan Executive Committee. He has previously held positions at Merrill Lynch in London and Tokyo, and JP Morgan in New York. Since 1997, he has overseen the acquisition and asset management of over USD 1 billion in physical property and non-performing mortgage loan assets in Japan. He is a graduate of Cornell University.  
   
  Makoto Tanaka  
Mr. Tanaka is Chief Operating Officer and Representative Director of K.K. Jermyn Capital. Prior to joining K.K. Jermyn Capital in April 2000, he spent 17 years working in the international financial markets, holding positions at several foreign financial institutions, including Bank of America, Chemical Bank and Deutsche Bank AG, as a trader of financial instruments such as foreign exchange, money market instruments, bonds, swaps/options and credit derivatives, and as business area controller. He is a graduate of Yokohama National University.

  Shinichi Yonehara  
Mr. Yonehara, Vice Chairman of Simon Murray & Company (Japan) is well-experienced in aircraft, telecommunications, IT businesses, and private equity. After graduating from Keio University Japan in 1974, Mr. Yonehara started his career at one of the largest corporations in Japan – Mitsui & Co., Ltd. where he was appointed as General Manager for Machinery Division of Mitsui & Co., (Hong Kong) Ltd. from 1983 to 1992.

  Kenny Man  
Mr. Man has over 8 years of private equity investment experience in Asia, including both real estate assets and private companies. He is currently a managing director of a real estate advisory firm that has a track record of acquiring over US$50 million of Asian real estate assets with private capital. Prior to that, he was an investment manager for Calyon Group’s real estate team with special emphasis on Japan, Greater China, and Southeast Asia. He joined SMC’s sister company, GEMS Limited, in 2001 in their expansion capital investment team investing and managing private companies across Asia. Mr. Man began his career in Japan as a consultant for Monitor Company, a global strategic consulting firm founded by Michael Porter in the U.S.
Mr. Man received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Georgetown University. A native of Hong Kong, he is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese.
